Matcha Mania this April at Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong



Match lovers rejoice! This month of April, Japan's well loved powdered green tea will find its way to the kitchen of Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong and into the dishes of the hotel's award winning restaurants Nadaman, Café Kool, Lobby Lounge and Shang Palace.

To make you even more excited, Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong will only be using high-quality, premium grade matcha from Yamamasa Koyamaen, an award-winning tea farm in Uji, Kyoto, Japan, which has mastered the art of making green tea for over 100 years.



When Matcha Meets Kaiseki at Nadaman

Indulge in an eight-course Matcha Green Tea-themed Kaiseki dinner menu, including Homemade Matcha Tofu with Fresh Sea Urchin; Fresh Snow Crab and Soften Yuba Tofu with Matcha Powder and Sweetened Matcha Kuzugiri Glass Noodles with Red Bean Paste.

Matcha Festival at Café Kool

The buffet spread will include Matcha-inspired dishes such as the Matcha Marinated Salmon with Matcha Mayo, Deep-Fried Snapper with Matcha Bread Crumb, Mussel with White Wine and Matcha Cream Sauce, Matcha Jelly with Shira Mata and Coconut Milk, and Matcha Roll with Red Beans.

It's All About Matcha at Lobby Lounge

The Matcha-themed afternoon tea buffet spread will feature the Seared Beef with Green Tea Noodles and Miso Dressing, Baked Fish Fillet with Matcha and Nut Crust, Japanese Rice with Marinated Tuna and Green Tea, Matcha Mille Feuille and many more. The Matcha-themed afternoon tea buffet is available from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on all Saturday, Sunday and public holidays of April.

Matcha Fair at Shang Palace

The rich taste of matcha will meet the flavorful cuisine of the Michelin two-starred Shang Palace restaurant. This interesting mix of flavors will surely create memorable dining experiences to the hotel's guests, when they try the Stir-Fried River Shrimps with Matcha and the Sliced Crispy Chicken on Matcha Toast.
