The Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences

The Picasso Hotel in Makati

The Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences, or simply The Picasso Makati, is one of our favorite hotels in the Makati Central Business District (Manila, Philippines), especially during weekends when the area is void of its usually high volume of cars and dense population of office workers, thus providing guests with the luxury of fresher air to breath and more space to move around.

The Picasso Makati is managed by Hospitality Innovators Inc (Hi!), the same group behind Azumi Boutique Hotel in Alabang and Y2 Residence Hotel in Makati. We have stayed at The Picasso Makati for two times already, and customer service was consistently outstanding. Check-in was effortless and very convenient since guests can seat on the couch while the receptionists process the check-in. Note that an incidental deposit of P1,000.00 (~US$22.00) per night will be collected upon check-in.

The Picasso Makati is a one of a kind boutique hotel in Metro Manila where the interior is filled with art pieces and walls serve as blank canvases splashed with stark colors of reds, blues, yellows, and violets. The hotel is named after Pablo Picasso, a Spanish painter and sculptor who pioneered the Cubism art movement, and from whom the design of the hotel took its inspiration. The Elevator Lobby, for instance, is filled with elements of Cubism such as the checkered floor and the rectangular patterns of the furniture pieces.

The Picasso Makati has a total of 136 guestrooms and suites which are classified into four room types: Studio, Premier Studio, Suite and Loft. The rooms are then further divided into room categories with names based on various Spanish cities where Pablo Picasso spent significant chapters of his life. The room categories also come in different color themes that reflect the topography and geography of the city after which they are named.
