The Deluxe Room is one of the four non-suite categories of New World Makati Hotel. Measuring 34 square meters, the Deluxe Rooms are located on higher floors (15 to 21) of the hotel building, offering guests with panoramic views of the city.
The modern Oriental design of the Deluxe Rooms was a product of the multi-million dollar renovation of the property which was completed in 2014. The neutral grey color of the walls was given a splash of warm lighting fixtures and artwork installation. Clean solid lines highlight the oriental vibe of the room while the furniture and accent pieces give a modern feel.
We stayed in room 1715 which is facing Greenbelt Park with the towering buildings of the Makati Central Business District on the background. It was a hot summer day so we just decided to stay inside the room to escape the heat outside. The seating area is perfect for channel surfing or reading.
Deluxe Rooms are furnished with either a king bed or twin beds. There's enough space on the side bedside tables to place your personal items. There's also plenty of power outlets with a universal socket which are easily reachable from the bed.
The mattress had a medium firmness that perfectly supports the weight of the body while a thick mattress topper adjusts to the contours of the back, making it a very comfortable bed to sleep on. The duvet is encased in high thread-count linens which were very soft and gentle to the skin.
There's an open closet that can fit small- to medium-sized bags while hangers are provided should you need to hang various clothes during your stay. Business travelers will be happy to learn that an iron and ironing board are provided in every Deluxe Room. There's also an in-room safe which can fit a small laptop.
The room is also equipped with a 37-inch flat-screen TV with local and international cable channels. There is also a media hub next to the executive writing desk which will allow guests too view media on the flat-screen TV. Complimentary wifi internet access is available inside the room and in common areas of the hotel.
A coffee and tea making facility, as we as a minibar, are provided per room. The selection of drinks includes soda, fruit juices, beer, and wine. There are also a variety of local snacks available at the minibar. In-room dining is available via the 24-hour room service.
The ensuite bathroom features a bathtub and a separate walk-in shower. Hot and cold water are available at the shower and the water temperature was very easy to control. Water pressure was constantly strong.
There's a single basin with ample space on the counter-top for personal toiletries. In-house body and bath amenities, as well as a vanity kit, are also provided. The towels were clean and smelling fresh.
We really enjoyed our stay here in this room. In fact, we had one of our longest sleep here at New World Makati Hotel. We really felt recharged the following morning. Having said this, we highly recommend the Deluxe Room if you are looking for a very relaxing staycation in the city.
Business travelers, on the other hand, will certainly enjoy the comfort of staying in a Deluxe Room after a long day of business meetings in the city. Sleeping in the comfy bed will make sure that they are well-rested and always at their best when facing clients and business associates.
