As always, when I am in Malaysia, I always start my day with Teh Tarik and a bowl of Curry Mee. This one served at Lemon Garden has a very thick and rich broth. I asked for yellow noodles and mee hoon (rice vermicelli) combination. It also had generous servings of fishcake, fried tofu puff, and bean curd rolls.

I love Nasi Lemak and I take every opportunity to eat this iconic dish whenever I am in Malaysia. Here at Lemon Garden, they had a food station dedicated to Nasi Lemak. A variety of Malay dishes can then be paired with this fragrant rice. I particularly loved their Kari Ayam (chicken curry) and Rendang Daging (beef rendang).

On my third day at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur, I also tried the Chinese dishes served in the breakfast buffet. I had fried rice, chicken dumpling, kani dumpling, stuffed tofu, beef stew, and stuffed bitter gourd.
