Goryeo Korean Dining is the premier Korean restaurant of Okada Manila specializing in Korean barbecue. The restaurant has an elegant and spacious dining area that features tables individually equipped with a smokeless barbecue grill. The restaurant is named after Goryeo (pronounced Koryo) which is the ancient name of Korea.

Updates as of July 10, 2021

Please note the following government-imposed restrictions while Metro Manila is placed under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) from July 1-15, 2021:
  • limited seating capacity of 40%-50% for indoor dining*
  • only guests 18 to 65 years old are allowed to dine
  • fully vaccinated senior citizens above 65 years old are also allowed to dine**
  • children below 18 years old are not allowed in indoor dining restaurants***
Prior reservation is recommended.



Dining Spaces



The main dining area can accommodate solo diners as well as groups of two to eight persons. There is excellent air conditioning and circulation inside the restaurant. The tables are also well-spaced in compliance with the health and safety protocols set by the national government.

Goryeo Korean Dining also has three dining rooms that can be booked for intimate celebrations and functions. The private dining rooms are available at a minimum consumable fee and prior reservation is recommended.

From the A La Carte Menu

Geotjeori at Goryeo Korean Dining
Geotjeori | Goryeo Korean Dining

Goetjeori - Since I love kimchi, I instantly loved this fresh kimchi salad. The lettuce was very crunchy and the dressing was lightly tart and sweet which made the salad very refreshing. It was also mildly spicy making it a great side dish to Korean barbecues.

Haemul Doenjang Jjigae | Goryeo Korean Dining

Haemul Doenjang Jjigae - A spicy soybean paste stew with soft tofu and assorted seafood. The spiciness was very subtle and with a hint of tartness. The broth was very flavorful and comforting.

Gaeran Jjim | Goryeo Korean Dining

Gaeran Jjim - This classic Korean steamed egg dish is very simple yet very delicious. It was seasoned with fish sauce and mixed with spring onions. It is served in a clay pot that effectively keeps the dish hot.

Japchae | Goryeo Korean Dining

Japchae - This Korean noodle dish is made with potato noodles sauteed with beef, mushrooms, and vegetables. It was not dry nor too oily. The noodles remained moist and chewy, minutes after it was served.

Haemul Pajeon | Goryeo Korean Dining 

Haemul Pajeon - A seafood pancake cooked with squid and chives. The texture is very close to the Chinese oyster omelet, this one is just firmer and does not have a gelatinous texture. The squid used was very tender and tasted very fresh.

Grilled Beef Platter | Goryeo Korean Dining

The platter of beef and pork meat cuts was then presented on our table. We were asked if we want to cook the meats on our tabletop barbecue grill or have them grilled for us in the kitchen. As much as we want to have the full Korean barbecue experience, we opted to have the chef grill the meats in the kitchen for us so that we can enjoy eating the other dishes served earlier.

Grilled Pork Platter | Goryeo Korean Platter

The first batch to arrive was the Grilled Beef Platter consisting of Galbisal (boneless beef short rib) and Woo Samgyeop (sliced beef short plate). The next batch was the Grilled Pork Platter which included Samgyeopsal (pork belly), Yangnyeom Dwaeji Moksal (marinated pork neck), and Hangeongsal (pork jowl). You can enjoy the grilled beef and pork cuts either with rice or you can wrap them with Ssam Yachae (assorted lettuce).

The first dish to be served was the Grilled Seafood Platter. The grilled squids were very tender and tasted very fresh. The tiger prawns were huge, plump and very juicy. My favorite was the baked scallops topped with creamy cheese.

Overall, we enjoyed our experience here at Goryeo Korean Dining. I seldom eat in Korean restaurants but my experience here made me want to explore more of Korean cuisine. The restaurant has a Korean chef, so guests are guaranteed that only authentic Korean dishes are served here. During our visit, most of the diners were Koreans which is a good sign. I will definitely be back.
