I finally got the chance to experience the new Sunday Brunch Society at Mirèio last weekend. It was relaunched back in September when the restaurant first reopened since the lockdown. The new Sunday Brunch Society also features a new menu, so the experience will be different from my previous Sunday brunches at Mirèio.

The Sunday Brunch Society features a selection of appetizers, a choice of main course, and a delectable dessert platter. In line with the new normal of hotel dining, there will no longer be a buffet spread. Instead, dishes are prepared a la minute and served to the guests' table by the dining staff.

As always, a meal at Mirèio starts with freshly baked bread. During my visit, they served me with sourdough rolls, Focaccia, and French baguettes. The first batch of appetizers then arrived immediately right after.

Served in a small dish the Pumpkin Custard with Chestnut Condiment while the Smoked Tanigue with Cucumber, Apple and Avocado Purée sits in a bigger dish. Beautifully arranged on a wooden platter are (from left to right) the Manchego Cheese, the Fresh Goat Cheese with Pink Pepper and Fresh Herbs, the Prosciutto Ham, and the Pork and Duck Pâté en Croute. Appetizers from this batch are best paired with bread.

The second set of appetizers include the Hami Melon and Black Forest Ham Salad, the Mozarella di Buffala with Tomato Jelly and Basil-Mango Salsa, and the Soba Noodle Salad with Sesame Dressing and Poached Salmon. This batch of appetizers can be enjoyed on their own for you to appreciate the beautiful blend of tastes and flavors in every dish.
Main Dishes (choice of one main dish per person)

For my main dish, I chose the Pan-Seared Catch of the Day (Snapper) with Tomato and Lemon Confit Concasse and Arugula-Coriander Pesto. The snapper tasted fresh and sweet. I loved how tender and moist the meat was while the skin was beautifully crusted. The tomato-melon confit concasse has a well-balanced sweetness and tartness that brought out the umami taste of the fish.

The Sunday Brunch Society experience ends with this platter of dessert. It includes 65% Dark Chocolate Mousse, Macarons (two pieces), Fresh Salad with Vanilla Chantilly, Peanut and Dark Chocolate Bar, Raspberry Financier, Caramel Petit Pot, and Mango Cheesecake. The restaurant serves complimentary coffee with the dessert. I ordered cappuccino.

The Sunday Brunch Society is available every Sunday from 11:00am to 2:00pm for ₱1,850 per person. Prices are inclusive of VAT and are subject to 10% service charge and applicable local taxes. Prior reservation is required.
