Grand Hyatt Manila » Grand Room (King Bed)

New Normal Room Feature

Grand Hyatt Manila belongs to the new generation of 5-star luxury hotels in Manila with ultra-spacious guestrooms and suites. The Grand Room, for example, is the lead-in guestroom category that is generously spacious at 45 square meters. This room category is the perfect choice for discerning leisure and business travelers.

Each floor has 12 Grand Rooms available in 1 King Bed or 2 Double Beds configuration. I was given room 4517 during one of my business stays at Grand Hyatt Manila. The room had a north-facing view of the Fort Bonifacio CBD. If you look closely, you can actually see the BGC-Ortigas bridge being constructed to connect the two CBDs.

Wood is used extensively to cover the room's floor and walls. The design gives the room a homey feel without looking old-fashioned. The choice of furniture and fixture created a contemporary atmosphere inside the room.

The floor-to-ceiling window allows plenty of natural light into the room, making it feel very airy. The room was furnished with a king bed standing next to the glass window. For privacy, you can just draw the curtains.

Here at Grand Hyatt Manila, you will get the same high level of sleep experience regardless of the room or suite category you booked. As with my previous stays in this hotel, I felt well-rested every morning I wake up.

As mentioned earlier, I was working from hotel during this stay, and I spent most of my time working with my laptop. I enjoyed the large work desk which also functioned as my dining table.

Desk-level universal power outlets are available, making it unnecessary to bring a travel adapter. It was also very convenient to connect my laptop to the Smart TV using an HDMI cable. The in-room wifi was fast enough to support conference calls via MS Teams or video streaming with Youtube or Netflix.

All rooms and suites here at Grand Hyatt Manila are equipped with an Illy coffee machine. Complimentary bottled water, Illy coffee capsules, and Twinings ea bags are provided and replenished daily. An electronic kettle is stored inside the minibar cabinet. Minibar drinks are temporarily not available in compliance with local and national health and safety protocols.

Having a walk-in closet helps to keep the room uncluttered. The closet has enough space to store your luggage and keep your clothes organized. There is also an electronic safe that can fit a laptop. Iron and ironing board are also provided.

The toilet is in a separate water closet outside the bathroom, following the standard room layout at Grand Hyatt Manila. This design allows the occupants of the room to use the toilet and the bathroom at the same time if needed. The toilet is fitted with a bidet spray and has its own washbasin.

The bathroom is fitted with single sink vanity with a spacious marble countertop. A free-standing bathtub is placed next to the frosted glass window that separates the bathroom from the bedroom.

The separate walk-in shower is fitted with rainfall and a handheld showerhead. Water pressure was consistently strong during my stay and hot water was available almost instantaneously. High-quality towels and a bath mat were also provided.

Guests staying at Grand Hyatt Manila are provided with body and bath amenities by the French luxury fashion brand Balmain. It replaced June Jacobs as the new standard toiletries brand used by Grand Hyatt hotels and resorts around the world. The complete set includes shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, and hand soap.
