Executive Room with a Balcony Facing the Swimming Pool
The Executive Room Pool View is one of the two executive room categories of Hilton Manila and is the only category with a balcony. These executive rooms with a pool view are located on the same floor as the Executive Lounge, making it convenient for guests staying in this room category to avail their Executive Lounge benefits.
The Executive Room Pool View measures 40 square meters (excluding the balcony floor area) and is available in a king bed or double beds configuration. On the one hand, the Executive Rooms and the lead-in Guest Rooms are basically identical in terms of room design. On the other hand, Executive Rooms have more desirable views and location, as well upgraded in-room amenities.
All Guest Rooms and Executive Rooms at Hilton Manila are equipped with a 55-inch HDTV with local and international cable channels, including premium HD channels. You can connect your multimedia devices to the HDTV using an HMDI cable or wirelessly via Chromecast. There is also a mini fridge located under the TV where you can stock your own beverages.
I booked this room for a week-long essential business stay and I spent most of my time working inside the room. My desk was generously spacious making it possible to use it for work and for dining. Desk-level power outlets have universal sockets and USB ports. The complimentary wifi Internet was fast enough to support video calls via MS Teams and Zoom.
I totally appreciated having a balcony where I can do stretching exercises in the morning. Taking a quick break from work, I also spend time here to enjoy the fresh air and the view. This promotes fresh ideas and creative thinking.
The balcony is also my preferred spot for breakfast. The pool view definitely gives that resort vibe, a sense of escape from the city without leaving the city. I also bring with me a portable Bluetooth speaker so I can play jazz or bossa nova music to set the mood in the morning.
One of the premium amenities of an Executive Room Pool View is the Nespresso coffee machine. It comes with four complimentary Nespresso capsules which are replenished daily. Complimentary Dilmah tea bags are also provided.
The Executive Room Pool View has a walk-in closet with an open cabinet to hang and store clothes. There is also a rack to place your luggage and smaller bags. The iron and ironing board, bathrobes, and room slippers are also stored here.
The bathroom has a four point bathroom layout that features a single vanity, a bathtub, a walk-in shower, and a water closet with a toilet fitted with a bidet. Hand and bath towels are generously provided.
The walk-in shower features a handheld showerhead and a rainfall showerhead. Water pressure was consistently strong during my stay. Hot water was available almost instantaneously and the water temperate was easy to regulate.
Verbena and Lavander de Provence bath amenities by Crabtree & Evelyn are provided in 45ml bottles. The complete set includes shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, bath soap, and facial soap.
Overall, having a balcony sweetened my stay experience. I do recommend the Executive Room Pool View for guests who expect to spend most of their time inside the room. If you are here for a weekend staycation, I also recommend this room if you need extra space for in-room dining and perhaps a place to air dry your wet towels and swimwear.
