The Breakfast Buffet at Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort is served daily from 06:00am to 10:30am at 5 Cien Restaurant, the resort's all-day dining and buffet restaurant. The breakfast buffet features Continental, Western, Asian, and Filipino dishes. There are also live cooking stations serving egg dishes, noodle soup, and pancakes.

The breakfast venue has both indoor and outdoor dining areas. I personally prefer the tables next to the glasshouse and near the buffet stations. The alfresco dining area directly faces the sunrise with a panoramic view of the sea.

Guests who booked a breakfast-inclusive room rate can enjoy the daily breakfast buffet during their stay. Walk-in guests are also welcome to dine. Marriott Bonvoy members with Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador status can avail complimentary breakfast buffet during their stay as part of their welcome gift benefit. This is extended to one registered guest staying with the member.

Here are our breakfast plates during our stay at Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort in September 2022 and October 2022:

A typical Italian breakfast of cappuccino and pastries. I had the chocolate croissant and mango danish which were both soft and very flakey.

Sikwate (a local hot chocolate drink) and putomaya (a local rice cake) are always part of my breakfast whenever I am in Cebu. Sikwate is always freshly made when served here at 5 Cien.

Here is a freshly made French toast which I topped with strawberry jam and sprinkled with sliced almonds. This also went well with my cappuccino.

Here is a plate of assorted kakanin (local cakes), including cassava cake, kitsinta (steamed rice cake), sapin-sapin (layered glutinous rice cake), ube puto (rice cake with ube), and pandan puto (rice cake with pandan leaves extract).

From the Asian station are stir-fried noodles, honey-glazed pork, siu mai (steamed pork and shrimp dumplings), and steamed pork barbecue bun.

Here is another Asian plate with stir-fried noodles which I topped with salted duck eggs to enhance the umami of the dish. I also had soy chicken wings plus a steamed pork barbecue bun.

Here is Western-Filipino-style breakfast consisting of garlic fried rice with potato wedges, sausages, crispy bacon, and ham.

Here is an English breakfast with scrambled eggs, sauteed mushrooms, marble potatoes, sausages, and baked beans.

Don't forget to include fresh fruits in your breakfast. They have red watermelon, yellow watermelon, honeydew, and dragon fruit.
