NOVOTEL SUITES MANILA AT ACQUA
The Standard Room is the lead-in and the only guestroom category of Novotel Suites Manila at Acqua. Measuring 30 square meters, the Standard Room is available in king-bed and twin beds configurations. We stayed in Room 1714 during this visit.
As you enter the room, you will find the luggage rack and the closet cabinet near the entrance door. They are immediately followed by a small pantry.
The closet cabinet houses the in-room safe, the iron and ironing board, and the storage space for hanging clothes and folded garments. Bathroom slippers and bathrobes are also stored here.
The Standard Room with a king-size bed has a semi-open bathroom design with the vanity and two mirrors acting as the divider between the bathroom and the sleeping area. If you are sharing the room with a friend and you prefer an enclosed bathroom, the Standard Room with two twin beds is ideal for you.
The bathroom has two vanities and two mirrors. There is a spacious countertop for your personal toiletries. Handwashing gel is provided in a pump bottle. The hairdryer and weighing scale are placed under the vanity countertop.
The bathroom has a separate walk-in shower installed with a ceiling-mounted rainfall shower and a handheld showerhead. There is a separate toilet room fitted with a bidet spray. Large towels are provided.
Bath amenities by Deep Nature are provided in pump bottles. Deep Nature is a French company that owns and operates luxury spas around the world and it produces its own line of skin-care products.
All rooms and suites here at Novotel Suites Manila at Acqua are designed to accommodate short- and long-term staying guests. The Standard Room for example has a pantry equipped with a microwave oven and fitted with a kitchen sink. There's also a mini refrigerator where you can store your own drinks.
The Standard Room also has a coffee- and tea-making facility. Complimentary bottled drinking water is provided daily. You can ask for additional bottled water at no extra charge. Complimentary instant coffee sachets are also provided and replenished daily. If you prefer a barista-made coffee, you can purchase one at the lounge located on the 21st floor.
Rooms here at Novotel Suites Manila at Acqua are equipped with the Novotel-signature Live N Dream bed with a super comfy mattress and smart pillows. I had an equally restful sleep experience here similar to Novotel Manila Araneta City. Universal outlets and light switches are available on both sides of the bed.
There is a two-seater sofa next to the window. It is crowned by an artwork that gives a pop of color to the rather neutral theme of the room. The accent pillows also gave more character to this space.
Opposite the sofa is a desk that can serve as a workspace or dining table. Next to it is a wall-mounted smart TV with local and international channels. The complimentary wifi is fast enough to support watching videos on Youtube.
In the middle of the sitting area is a low wooden coffee table which I think is too big for this space. I found it cumbersome to move around this area. A taller cafe table would have been a more functional and space-saving choice.
This room has an east-facing window with a view of the riverfront property and the Rockwell Center. You can also enjoy the sunrise from this side. West-facing rooms have a view of the surrounding residential area with sunset in the afternoon.
