Mövenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu (Movenpick Cebu) is a five-star beachfront resort located on the northeastern coast of Mactan Island in Cebu, Philippines. The resort features a private beach, an outdoor swimming pool, and a spa. Movenpick Cebu also houses three restaurants serving local and international cuisines.
Movenpick Cebu has a Mediterranean-inspired design evoked by the white interior of the lobby with splashes of nautical colors of blue, cyan, teal, and yellow. From the lobby, you can already view the sea hiding behind the palm trees.
Movenpick Cebu is located 6 kilometers away from the Mactan Cebu International Airport. You will arrive at the resort shortly after a quick 15-minute road travel. Your arrival at Movenpick Cebu will be welcomed by this drink made of butterfly pea flowers and lemon juice.

Movenpick Cebu launched its refreshed guestrooms and renovated suites last August 2023. The resort currently has 10 accommodation categories. All rooms and suites feature a balcony with a view of the resort's courtyard of the surrounding sea.

The Deluxe Sea View Room measures 33 square meters and features a private balcony overlooking the Punta Engaño Peninsula and the surrounding sea. The room is available with a king-size bed or with two twin beds.

The renovated Suite King Sea View measures 48 square meters and features a separate living room and bedroom. It is furnished with a king-size bed and a work desk. The Suite King Sea View offers a partial view of the surrounding sea.
Dining Options
Movenpick Cebu currently has three dining outlets. A new Ibiza Beach Club is being constructed and is expected to open in the first half of 2024. In-room dining is also available.

The Sails
The Sails is an all-day dining restaurant located on the ground floor of Movenpick Cebu. It serves Filipino, Asian, and Western cuisines for a la carte and buffet dining. The Sails currently operates as the resort's breakfast venue. Themed buffets are also offered on holidays. Read more ►
Lobby Lounge
The Lobby Lounge at Movenpick Cebu welcomes guests with its bright and breezy interior. It serves specialty coffee, tea, and snacks throughout the day. Chocolate Hour
Chocolate Hour takes place each day at the resort's Lobby Lounge. From 3:00pm to 4:00pm, Mövenpick Boracay serves complimentary confections, pastries, and mini cakes made with chocolate. That's an hour of chocolate indulgence that all guests can enjoy during their stay.
Breakfast Buffet
The Breakfast Buffet at Movenpick Cebu is served daily at The Sails from 6:30am to 10:00am (until 10:30am on weekends). Food choices include Continental, Western, Filipino, and Asian dishes. Outdoor Swimming Pool
Consistent with the Mediterranean-inspired design of the resort, the design of the outdoor swimming pool of Movenpick Cebu features lots of white and wood accented by the bright blue color of the pool and the surrounding nature.
In-house guests of Movenpick Cebu enjoy complimentary use of the outdoor swimming pool during their stay. Sun loungers are available. Drinks and snacks can be ordered and served here or at The Forum located on the upper deck.
Private Beach
Movenpick Cebu has a private beach accessible from the resort's beachfront courtyard. The beach is for the exclusive use of the resort's in-house guests as well as guests who availed a day pass.
The beach features fine white sand and clear blue waters. The beach is well-maintained and kept free of plant debris, coral stones, and shells. Sun loungers and beach towels are provided to guests.
Transportation
Movenpick Cebu is located some 6 kilometers from Mactan-Cebu International Airport, the main domestic and international gateway for travelers to Mactan and Cebu.
Airport Transfer
- Hotel Transport - The most convenient way to travel between the airport and Movenpick Cebu is to book the resort's airport transport. Rates start at PHP1,400 net per way. Travel time is around 20-30 minutes.
- GRAB - You can also book a GrabCar using the GRAB ride-hailing app. Fare ranges between PHP300 to PHP400 depending on the type of GrabCar you choose (4-seater or 6-seater) and the time of booking. Travel time is around 20-30 minutes.
Moving Around
- GRAB - I recommend using the GRAB ride-hailing app when traveling around and between Cebu and Mactan areas.
- Taxi - I don't recommend taking a local taxi.
