Ash & Elm at InterContinental Singapore



Ash & Elm is an award-winning casual dining restaurant at the InterContinental Singapore specializing in European cuisine. Taking inspiration from the chic brasseries that line the streets of Paris, Ash & Elm offers an upscale yet relaxed dining venue where guests can enjoy dishes expertly prepared by the restaurant's culinary team with years of experience in Michelin starred restaurants in Paris.



Ash & Elm features three culinary theaters including a charcuterie and fromagerie room which is fashioned in a gourmet shop, a wood-fired oven reminiscent of the pizzerias in Europe, and an open charcoal-grill kitchen which is both interactive and entertaining.



Ash & Elm is the hotel's breakfast venue. Guests who booked a room with breakfast will enjoy a buffet breakfast through the restaurant's live cooking stations. Ash & Elm is also open for lunch and dinner:

  • Buffet Breakfast (6:00am to 10:30am daily)
  • Semi-Buffet Lunch (12:00nn to 2:45pm Mondays to Saturdays)
  • Bubbles & Brunch (12:00nn to 3:00pm Sundays)
  • Dinner (6:00pm to 10:30pm daily)




SEMI-BUFFET LUNCH



During my most recent visit to Singapore, I was able to sample the Semi-Buffet Lunch at Ash & Elm which consisted with Appetizer & Dessert Buffet and a choice of a Main Course. I started my lunch with a selection of charcuterie and premium cheeses.



The buffet spread also featured a salad station with choices of fresh and cooked salad ingredients as well as a variety of salad dressings. My first plate of salad consisted of pre-made salads, prawns and tofu.



My second plate of salad was a DIY Caesar Salad. There were at least six salad dressings available ranging from cream-based to oil-based dressings. I then paired my salad with a bowl of seafood chowder (not on the photo).



For my main course, I was recommended to try the Chargrilled Beef Ribeye which I had in medium-well doneness. The steak was well seasoned with aromatic flavors infused into the meat.



The Salmon and Spinach Flatbread is also a good choice for a main course, especially for those who love the creamy taste of salmon which went well with the tomato base of the pizza and the rich flavors of the cheese. The spinach added a fresh taste to the pizza.



Finally for dessert, you can feast on a variety of pastries and cakes, fresh fruits and ice cream. I had some tarts, pralines and panna cotta. I also had two scoops of black sesame seed ice cream to end my meal.



The Semi-Buffet Lunch is available from 12:00nn to 2:45pm, every Mondays to Saturdays. Guests may avail of the Appetizers & Dessert Buffet only (S$28*) or combine it with a choice of a Main Course (S$38*).
