Urban Kitchen is the main breakfast venue of Hilton Kota Kinabalu. It serves breakfast buffet daily from 06:00am to 10:30am (until 11:00am on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays). The restaurant welcomes both checked-in guests and walk-in guests.
Guests who booked a breakfast-inclusive room rate, as well as guests with access to the Executive Lounge, can enjoy the daily breakfast buffet during their stay. Hilton Honors Gold and Diamond members can also avail of their breakfast benefit at Urban Kitchen. Just mention at the front desk that you will be availing of breakfast as your preferred MyWay Benefit when you check-in for your stay.
Urban Kitchen serves a wide variety of Western, Chinese, Malay, and Indian dishes for breakfast. Free-flowing coffee, tea, and fruit juices are also included. Below are some of the dishes I tried for breakfast during my overnight stay.
I started my meal with this plate of Nasi Lemak (fragrant rice cooked in coconut milk) combined with Sambal Telur (hardboiled egg in chili paste), Kari Ayam (chicken curry), Rendang Daging (beef rendang), Mee Goreng (stir-fried noodles), and a variety of steamed dumplings.
I then had this bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup. I asked for egg noodles topped with bok choy, bean sprouts, and carrots. The warm broth was very comforting and the noodles were filling and satisfying.
