Tavola36 is the all-day dining restaurant of Swissôtel Nankai Osaka which serves Japanese, Swiss, and other international cuisines. The restaurant is located on the 36th floor of the hotel, the topmost level of the hotel which also served as the inspiration for the restaurant's name. Tavola36 caters to both checked-in hotel guests and non-staying guests.
The restaurant has a very contemporary and casual atmosphere. The main dining area is located under a crystal-lined ceiling which creates an intimate dining mood. Dining tables are also located next to the glass curtain walls where guests can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the city.
Tavola36 is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Guests can either enjoy the wide selection of dishes of the international buffet spread or order gourmet dishes and premium drinks from the a la carte menu. Tavola36 also serves as the main breakfast venue of Swissôtel Nankai Osaka.

One of the highlights of Tavola36 is the Swiss Buffet Night held every Thursday. The buffet features traditional Swiss dishes as well as regional Swiss specialty dishes. Not to be missed are the premium cheeses, the cheese raclette, and most definitely the Swiss desserts.

The breakfast buffet spread at Tavola36 includes continental items, bread and pastries, fresh fruits and salads, Japanese, Chinese and Western hot dishes. I was able to dine here for breakfast during my stay at the hotel. I was specifically impressed by the wide selection of dishes offered during the breakfast buffet. Service was also excellent, friendly and efficient. I will definitely consider dining here again at Tavola36 to try the lunch buffet as well as the Swiss Buffet Night on my next stay at Swissôtel Nankai Osaka.
