Lead-in Guestroom Category
The Deluxe Room is the lead-in guestroom category of Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok. It has a total floor space of 37 square meters and is available in king-bed and twin-bed configurations. The Deluxe Rooms are located on the lower floors of the hotel and offer views of the city and of the surrounding neighborhood.
My welcome amenity included a basket of luk chup (a local delicacy made of mung bean paste), a platter of fresh fruits, sliced green mangoes with a sweet-spicy dip, and a white chocolate sculpture. The welcome amenity also came with a handwritten note from the General Manager.
The Deluxe Room has a contemporary room design with influences from the 1920s Italian-American theme of the hotel. The wooden furniture, metal light fixtures, and the frameless mirror add an industrial-chic vibe to the room, reminiscent of the loft apartments in New York City.
The room features a workstation fitted with a desk-level power outlet with universal sockets. Complimentary wifi internet connection is available inside the room and in public areas of the hotel. The room is also equipped with a 40-inch HDTV with local and international channels.
The minibar was stocked with canned beer and soda, as well as bottled sparkling water and juices. Complimentary bottled water, instant coffee, and tea bags are also provided and replenished daily. You can also order local and international dishes and drinks from the in-room dining menu.
Similar to my stay at Hilton Kota Kinabalu, Hilton Manila, and Hilton Kuala Lumpur, I also had an excellent sleep experience here at Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok. I feel well-rested when I wake up in the morning and very much motivated to explore the city.
The desk-level controls are easily accessible from the bed and from the window-side seating area. There is a seating area next to the window. The leather couch and the chrome floor lamp add to the industrial-chic vibe of the room.
The bathroom features a single vanity, a walk-in shower booth with bathtub, and a toilet. The shower is fitted with a handheld and a rainfall shower head. I also love it that the bathtub is located next to the shower area.
Just like in any Hilton property around the world, guests staying here at Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok are provided with the Verbena and Lavander de Provence bath amenities by Crabtree & Evelyn. The complete set includes shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, bath soap, and facial soap.
Overall, I was happy to have booked this Deluxe Room for my weekend stay in Bangkok. It is nice to have a Hilton room to go back to after a day of exploring the city. I would also book this room for future business trips to Bangkok.
