The Tribe Comfort XL Suite with Ocean View Balcony is the highest room category of Tribe Bali Kuta Beach. Measuring 54 square meters, this room is furnished with a king-size bed, a spacious sitting area, a bathtub, and a private balcony with a view of Kuta Beach and the Indian Ocean.
When you first enter the room, you will find an open-shelf wardrobe with plenty of space to hang clothes and store folded garments. There's also plenty of space to unpack your luggage. The in-room safe is also found here.
A glass partition wall blocks a direct line of sight to the sleeping area from the entrance door. This creates a sense of privacy while still allowing light to pass thru. The minibar cabinet also functions as a more conspicuous divider.
As with all room categories of the hotel, this room is also equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine. Complimentary bottled drinking water, coffee capsules, and tea bags are provided and replenished daily. There is a mini fridge inside the minibar cabinet to store your own drinks.
Here is the sleeping area furnished with a king-size bed. In front of it is a sitting area with a sofa, coffee table, and two round leather ottomans. The sitting area functions as a workstation and as dining area.
The room is equipped with a 49-inch smart TV with local and international channels. Complimentary wifi internet is available inside the room accessible with no password required.
I had room service during my stay here. I ordered from the a la carte menu of Afterglow Bar & Kitchen and had my food served in the room. Delivery was within 30 minutes. The sitting area could comfortably host two persons for in-room dining.
I definitely had a restful sleep experience here at Tribe Bali Kuta Beach. This is thanks to the signature Tribe bed with a comfortable mattress and fine linens. Desk-level power outlets and light switches are available on both sides of the bed.
A unique feature of the room is a free-standing soaking tub not located inside the bathroom but next to the floor-to-ceiling glass wall in the living area. The outdoor view can be closed off with a block-out curtain for privacy.
Here is the spacious private balcony of the room. From here, you can enjoy an overlooking view of Kuta Beach. I did not spend much time here on the balcony since the view is much more impressive from the rooftop restaurant.
My room is located on the second floor and as you can see, the view of the beach is obstructed by the trees. If you will book this room category, make sure you request a room on the fourth or fifth floor.
The semi-open bathroom has a single vanity with a spacious countertop where you can place your personal toiletries. Handwashing gel and lotion are provided in pump bottles. Dental and vanity kits are also provided.
The left door opens up to a walk-in shower installed with wall-mounted rainfall shower and handheld showerhead. Water pressure was consistently strong during my stay. The right door is for the separate toilet room fitted with a bidet spray.
Lemongrass-ginger scented bath amenities by Aromele are provided in the shower area. The set includes shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. Aromele is a Balinese brand of personal care products made with local ingredients from Indonesia.
