Andaz Bali is a five-star luxury resort located along Sanur Beach, on the southeastern coast of Bali, Indonesia. The resort's design is inspired by a modern Balinese village where travelers can fully immerse in local culture.
Andaz Bali opened in April 2021, marking the entry of the Andaz brand in Indonesia. Andaz is a Hindi word that means "personal style" in English. This represents the uniqueness of each Andaz property and the individuality of every traveler. Andaz is a luxury lifestyle brand of Hyatt.
Guests arriving at Andaz Bali will be welcomed by a lotus pond. In the middle is a four-headed elephant fountain. These are two design elements that reflect Balinese culture, creating a sense of arrival for travelers.
Main Lobby
The main lobby is modeled after a Bale Banjar which is a community pavilion used as a meeting place. All areas within the resort are accessible from here, consistent with the Balinese village design of the property.
The locally inspired architecture exudes Balinese elegance with design elements that utilize traditional materials and patterns and accent pieces that pull in the nautical vibes of Sanur Beach.
Seated check-in is done over these long tables. The whole process was handled efficiently by the friendly reception team. Standard check-in time is 3:00pm while check-out is at 12:00 noon.

The Village Square
The Village Square is the communal space located in the heart of the resort. The resort's buildings and pavilions are arranged around this central courtyard, similar to the design of a traditional Balinese village.
Located on the Village Square is a temple where guests can witness how the Balinese practice their religion through prayers and offerings. One can fully immerse in the experience by participating in the community rituals.
During day time, traditional crafts lessons such as batik making are offered here. In the evening, the Village Square hosts live music performances and film showings. These activities are free of charge and are open to all in-house guests.
Four of the resort's restaurants are located here at the Village Square. Guests can choose from local Balinese and international cuisines. In the morning, the entire Village Square becomes the resort's breakfast venue.
The Lounge
The Lounge is a pavilion located next to the main lobby. It houses a seating area that can accommodate solo travelers, couples, and small groups.
All guests staying at Andaz Bali enjoy complimentary light snacks, juices, coffee, and tea during their stay. The Lounge is open daily from morning until evening.

Andaz Bali features 149 guestrooms, suites, and villas spread across a 5.9-hectare beachfront property. The rooms are clustered in low-rise buildings surrounded by tropical gardens and ancient banyan trees.

The Pool View Room measures 66 sqm and is available with a king bed or two twin beds. These rooms are located on the ground floor and feature an outdoor space with direct access to the Shanti Pool.
Dining Options
Andaz Bali has a total of five restaurants ranging from international to specialty Western and Indonesian restaurants. Four of the restaurants are located at the Village Square while one is located at the resort's beachfront area.

Village Market Breakfast at Andaz Bali
Village Market Breakfast is the unlimited a la carte breakfast served at the resort's Village Square. It features Western, Asian, and Indonesian breakfast dishes of which guests can order as many as they want. Free-flowing coffee, espresso beverages, tea, juices, and smoothies are also included. Shankha Spa

Kids Club
Andaz Bali has a Kids Club that is open for in-house guests of the resort. The Kids Club is supervised by professionally trained child daycare staff so parents can be ensured of the safety of their children.
Each child gets to use the facilities free of charge for the first two hours of each day. An additional charge applies for every succeeding hour. Facilities include play areas, a tv lounge, a computer area, and a rest area. Kids can enjoy board games and can also learn to play local Balinese musical instruments.
Resort Activities
Guests can participate in fitness and recreational activities organized by the resort. These activities include sunrise stretching, aqua aerobics, batik making, coconut hat making, and many more. Most of these activities are free of charge.
Guests also enjoy complimentary use of bicycles. Skooters can also be rented for a minimal hourly fee. Joining the activities and use of the amenities are on a first come first served basis. To register, just approach the activity center located near the swimming pools.
Swimming Pools
Andaz Bali has three swimming pools plus one swimming pool that it shares with Hyatt Regency Bali. In addition, there are also lagoon pools that are accessible only to guests staying in Lagoon Access Rooms and Suites.
The 40-meter main swimming pool is located near the beach area. The east-facing swimming pool is popular for guests who want to welcome the sunrise while having their morning laps.
There are also open spaces next to the main swimming pool where the resort organizes group exercises such as stretching, yoga, and aqua aerobics.
The second swimming pool is the Kids Swimming which is located next to the main swimming pool but farther away from the beach. The Kids Swimming pool is surrounded by lush gardens and is decorated with frog fountains.
Sun loungers and day beds are also available here at the Kids Swimming Pool so that parents can comfortably relax while the kids have a fun time at the pool. For safety, life guards are also on duty here.
Situated in a secluded area of the resort is Shanti Pool. It is surrounded by a verdant garden and is shaded by a centuries old tree. Guests staying in a Pool View Room enjoy convenient access to the Shanti Pool. This area is relatively quieter and is perfect for couples and honeymooners.
If you wish to stay in a room next to the Shanti Pool, please keep in mind that this area is located near the welcome lobby and far away from the beach. The Village Square is just a short walk away.
There is an adults-only pool located in Shankha Spa. It is open to all in-house guests from Andaz Bali and Hyatt Regency Bali who are at least 16 years old. You can also use Shankha Spa facilities such as the sauna and steam rooms, the outdoor jacuzzi, shower rooms, locker rooms, and the fitness center.
Sanur Beach
Andaz Bali is located along the coast of Sanur Beach. This coastal town is located on the east coast of the island and features champagne-white sand and shallow water that is ideal for dipping and swimming. This is also the best spot to watch the sunrise.
The best time to enjoy Sanur Beach is during the Balinese wet season (November to March) during which the beach is calmer. Sanur is not a popular destination for surfing but do expect the water to be wavy during the dry season (April to October).
Sanur Beach is a public beach and is famous to joggers and cyclists in the morning. Sun loungers and day beds are provided to guests at the resort's beachfront area
Transportation
Andaz Bali is located around 15 kilometers from Ngurah Rai International Airport, the main domestic and international gateway for travelers to Bali, Indonesia.
- Airport Transfer - If you don't have a pre-arranged airport transfer provider, I recommend that you use the GRAB ride-hailing service. GRAB has a welcome lounge located in the arrival area. They will book the ride for you. Payment is in cash. Fare ranges between IDR300,000 to IDR500,000 depending on the type of GrabCar you selected and the time of booking. Travel time is around 30 minutes. You will be dropped off at the resort's main lobby.
- Private Transport Service - You can also pre-arrange your airport transfer with a third-party transport service provider. Airport pick-up should be booked at least 24 hours in advance. You can contact Mr. Komang Wirawan of WP Bali Driver Tour and Service at +62 812-3710-1901 (WhatsApp)
- Moving Around - I also recommend using the GRAB ride-hailing app when traveling around Sanur, Nusa Dua, Uluwatu, Jimbaran, Kuta, and Canggu. You can approach the resort's concierge for assistance with the app.
